"We're going to cut straight o the chase," Andrew Porter is told at the beginning of the trailer for Netflix's Six Nations documentary, Full Contact, "how tough do you have to be to play rugby?"
"Look at my ears, man," replies Porter, turning to the camera to show his right ear looking raw.
Then he turns to show the left. "This ear is actually fine, kind of," says the Ireland prop. "Believe it or not, this is my good ear."
Trailer looks very good. Let’s hope we have broken the mould now and Rugby is showcased for what it really is.
Modern day gladiators leaving it all out there in the name of entertainment.

The documentary which charts the 2023 Six Nations tournament has been made by the producers of the hit series Formula 1: Drive to Survive. It premieres on January 24th and will feature eight episodes.
The 2023 Six Nations will be an enjoyable one for Irish supporters to relive. Andy Farrell's side won the Grand Slam, a feat sealed on St Patrick's weekend with victory over England in Dublin. The tournament was also Johnny Sexton's final Six Nations in an Ireland jersey.
During last year's tournament, Jack Conan explained what it was like being part of the documentary.
"They’re just in the background," he said.
"I haven't had much 1-1 dealings with them, it's grand. It’s not something we’re letting distract us," Conan said with a wry smile.
"Most of us they’ve seen so far is just having craic and playing games before training sessions, so I don’t know if it’s going to be the most riveting TV people have watched when it finally comes out."
The 2024 Six Nations gets underway on February 2nd when Ireland face France in Marseille. The Irish squad for the tournament will be named next week.
