There isn't much about Matt O'Connor that Neil Francis likes and he does not hold back in letting us know about it in his Irish Independent column today.
Francis pines for the days of Joe Schmidt, a "maestro" to O'Connor's "bandmaster".
Two seasons ago Leinster had a maestro conductor and one of the best symphony orchestras in the world. Currently they have a bandmaster officiating over a Yorkshire pit brass band playing oompapa music.
He certainly does not appreciate the "shit style of rugby" that the Aussie has Leinster playing, something he compares the Irish football team under Jack Charlton.
Effectively what O’Connor has done is taken the 1970 Brazilian football team and got them to play Jack Charlton long-ball football.
Not content with expressing his opinions regarding O'Connor, he also takes time to label Wasps Director of Rugby, Dai Young, "a clown".
If a clown like Dai Young can get bonus-point wins against Castres home and away to bring Wasps right back into contention, well then surely Leinster can do it in the RDS
Interestingly, Francis refers to Jonny Sexton as "Grumpy" which is infinitely better than him being called "Sexto" in Brian O'Driscoll's book.
