Jack O'Donoghue was shown a red card during the ongoing Champions Cup clash between Munster and Northampton at Thomond Park.
The no. 6 could have no complaints after his tackle resulted shoulder to head contact with Northampton second-row David Ribbans.
The incident was picked up by the TMO Eric Gauzins, and after reviewing the footage, the decision was an easy one for referee Tual Trainini as Ribbans was upright when the hit was made and there were no mitigating factors.
Despite being a man down, Munster have taken a 24-0 lead into half-time.
