Connacht and Ireland’s jewel on the wing Mack Hansen showed in an interview with BT Sport’s Craig Doyle that he really is the gift that keeps on giving.
When he’s not scoring legendary Six Nations tries for his country, or being the deadliest finisher in the URC, he is probing that he is one of the funnest and most likeable sportsmen in the country.
While most of Ireland’s rugby players will have gotten their stupid tattoos when they were 18 in Magaluf, Hansen recently added to his collection by getting one of one of his Connacht teammates Oisín Dowling.
"I’ve got a bit of ink myself," Hansen told Craig Doyle of BT Sport ahead of Connacht's game with Leinster yesterday. "Some tattoos, and it was coming up to the time I was getting more. One of my roommates was like “what are you getting are you going to get my face on you?”, “if you want to pay for it yeh I’ll get it.”"
“This was Oisín. I didn’t really think much of it. The next day I was booked in and ready to go. So I’ve got the big fella on me for the rest of my life. It looks like Buzz Lightyear’s had his tonsils out or something.
"I think it was a hundred quid."
Tattoos of Oisín Dowling and a love for a McDonald's Sausage McMuffin 😅
Quite the character, Mack Hansen!

Upon hearing the story, Craig Doyle made a rather interesting proposal, and we’re unsure whether he was joking or half serious.
"I’ll give you a hundred and fifty if you put me on your arse, 200 hundred if you get Austin Healy," the presenter cheekily asked.
Hansen gave the response you would expect considering his Dowling tattoo.
"Absolutely, lets get it done."
While we must praise Hansen for going through with such an outrageous request, his pronunciation of the name Oisín leaves a lot to be desired.
