The Chiefs easily beat the Blues 41-26 in Hamilton on Friday.
It had been a competitive game until just prior to half-time when Steven Luatua, who will team up with Pat Lam at Bristol next season, saw red for a shocking high and late tackle on Chiefs winger Tim Nanai-Williams.

As Chiefs scrum-half Tawera Kerr-Barlow broke through the Blue defence and hared towards the line, Luatua levelled Nanai-Williams with a clothesline.
The Chiefs led the game 15-9 at the time. They would score another try from the penalty which resulted from the Luatua red card to take a 22-9 lead into the break.
