Leinster and La Rochelle are set to reignite one of the decade's fiercest club rugby rivalries when Leo Cullen's men travel to France for the third round of the Champions Cup. Ahead of the clash we've all the info on how to watch Leinster v La Rochelle.

Leinster come into this game in perfect form, having won all nine of their URC openers and both of their top-flight European clashes with the Bristol Bears and Bath.

While O'Gara's La Rochelle have been enduring a poor run of form in the Top-14, their back-to-back wins in the Champions Cup last month leave them sitting above Leinster in Pool 2, with just points difference now separating the European giants who'll be contesting a winner takes all clash this weekend.

This Sunday will also see the two sides battle out last year's quarter-final clash where Leinster recorded a resounding 40-13 win over their French rivals.

When is Leinster v La Rochelle?

The Stade Marcel Deflandre will host Leinster v La Rochelle this Sunday the 12th of January, with kick-off slated for 15:15 (Irish Time).

Leinster v La Rochelle will be broadcast live on Premier Sport 1, with coverage getting underway fifteen minutes before kick-off at 3 pm.

Permutations

Leinster and La Rochelle are both level on points having taken nine points each from the opening two games. However, La Rochelle currently sit ahead of Leinster on scoring difference, with just a single point separating them. Very simply, whoever wins on Sunday will take the top spot, while a draw will not change the standings.

That said, if the losing side is unable to claim any form of bonus point, and Clermont Auvergne claim a bonus point win over Bath the loser will drop to third place in the standings.
