Jonny Sexton's Chance Of Touring With The Lions Takes A Hit As Injury Rules Him Out For 4-6 Weeks

Disasterous news for Irish rugby fans emerged today as Jonny Sexton's injury seems to be worse than initially feared. Sexton has been ruled out for six weeks, which doesn't mean he will miss out on the Lions Tour but it is problematic due to the timing of the squad announcement. The squad is usually named around the time of the Heineken Cup quarter finals so Gatland would be in the less than ideal position of having to name Sexton without him being near match fitness.
