Jonny Sexton was involved in a training ground 'incident' with Racing Metro teammate Juandre Kruger on Tuesday.
Sexton, deploying the same style of communication he employed to such good effect in the 2009 Heineken Cup semi-final, screamed in the ear of the Springbok lock Kruger, after being riled by the South African's 'excessive physicality' at the ruck.
South African second row forwards have not traditionally been famed for their diplomatic nature and ability to turn the other cheek and it appears Kruger appreciated the ear screaming treatment even less than its previous victims.
The pair were involved in a brief scuffle and had to be pulled apart by teammates. As training ground fracas go, it hardly belongs in the same class as Setanta O' hAilpin with his Carlton mate, Cameron Cloke.
After a deeply unimpressive opening to the season and a miserable effort in the Heineken Cup, Racing Metro's team of stars have clicked in early 2014, with a five game winning streak helping them to qualify for a playoff spot in the Top 14, in spite of what Sunday Times say.
