As the clock hit red, Johnny Sexton's blood turned to ice.
With Ireland heading for another ruinous opening day defeat - and yet another of them in Paris - Ireland heaved their way through forty-odd phases, before Conor Murray tossed the ball back to Sexton, 41 metres from goal. He held his nerve to land an astonishing kick, with the ball taking just about forever to drop from the sky and over the bar.
An incredible moment; an iconic kick. His teammates went suitably mental, perhaps somewhat out of relief. Johnny had bailed them out.
