Joey Carbery has agreed to extend his time with Munster beyond his initial deal.
The 23-year-old joined Munster from Leinster during the summer on a two-year contract.
Munster today announced that the out-half has already decided that he will remain at Thomond Park even longer, signing a deal which lasts until June 2022.
Carbery has scored 143 points in 13 appearances for Munster this season. He is also the PRO14's most accurate kicker with a success rate of 87 per cent.
Munster also confirmed today that Alby Mathewson has agreed to extend his time at the province. The All Black scrum-half joined Munster earlier this season as cover for Conor Murray. Mathewson will now stay until the end of November 2019.
