Speaking to Sky Sports after Ireland's 28-22 win against Scotland at the Aviva on Saturday, Joe Schmidt was positive about the contributions of Simon Zebo and Dave Kearney.
The Munster man started the game at full back, scoring Ireland's third try of the game. Kearney came off the bench and actually made the break which eventually lead to Zebo's try.
I thought Simon did really well. He was really secure when the ball was in the air. He defended really well. And, of course, he finished that try superbly.
I think Dave Kearney coming on, onto their ball opening them up and then Simon Zebo doing exactly the same thing. It was probably something that we identified at half-time and it was good to see it executed. You couldn't ask for two better guys to do it.
Zebo - after his Man of the Match performance - and Kearney will both feel good about their chances of making the 31-man World Cup squad this evening.
