Schmidt's Response To The England Rumours Couldn't Be Any More Definitive

While many are arguing that the Irish team have gotten too much of an easy ride after their exit from the World Cup (although how much can we talk about them getting an easy ride before that talk turns it into a difficult ride?), I don't think anyone actually wants to see Joe Schmidt leave.

So therefore we're very glad that he has really put the England rumours to bed, tonight on the Late Late Show, completely ruling himself out of the running for the head coach role.

Schmidt told Ryan Tubridy:

I am absolutely committed to the group of young men I work with .. I'm certainly not going anywhere.

Thank God for that.
