England won an eight try thriller against Argentina in San Juan on Saturday night.
For much of the second half, it looked like it was the Pumas who would claim victory against an England side with most of its stars in New Zealand with the Lions.
Argentina took a 17:13 lead into half time but England hit back through Jonny May after 48 minutes.
The home side then stunned England with two tries in three minutes. The first came through centre Jeronimo De la Fuente after a break by scrum-half Martin Landajo from the base of a scrum. That try and conversion by Nicolas Sanchez gave Argentina a 24:23 lead.
Straight from George Ford's kick-off, Argentina played some brilliant end-to-end rugby which finished with fullback Joaquin Tuculet touching down. Sanchez against added the extras to put his side ahead 31-23 with 54 minutes elapsed.
England got back level through the boot of Ford and also a try from the out-half but looked like Argentina would claim a brilliant victory though when Juan Martin Hernandez knocked over a drop goal with less than five minutes to play.
However, debutant Denny Solomona had other ideas. On as a second-half substitute, the New Zealand-born rugby league convert scored a dramatic late try to snatch victory for England.
