Twitter has spent the morning trying to digest the speculation that talented outhalf JJ Hanrahan may be leaving his native province of Munster. The Currow native is apparently attracting interest from the likes of Northampton, while Leicester and Gloucester are keeping tabs on his situation.
Needless to say, Munster and Ireland fans were not best pleased with the rumours, although most of the anger was aimed at Munster, rather than the player. There are some English fans delighted that they might have a former IRB Junior player of the year nominee playing in the Aviva Premiership next season.
JJ Hanrahan Twitter Reaction:
Forgot that most things one hears in a pub are true; that JJ Hanrahan story is spot on; Gloucester and Leicester also had ears pricked..

This is turning into a nightmarish week for Munster.

Munster fans will be angry if JJ Hanrahan is to join Northampton but from the player's point of a view, it's a good move. Can't blame him.

JJ Hanrahan's rumoured departure to the Saints is bad news - wouldn't seem like Munsters midfield is good enough to force him abroad

Simply cannot believe Munster would let JJ Hanrahan go. Unreal talent.

Hope the news that @JjHanrahan going to Northampton isn't true. Be the biggest heart break in @Munsterrugby in years if not ever #starthim10

@Munsterrugby Munster can't afford to let JJ Hanrahan go. We just don't have enough players of his class. Please make sure he stays!!

@TheRugbyBlog @IrishTimesSport to say I'm raging is an understatement. Can't blame player though with money & much needed game time on offer

If Munster let JJ Hanrahan go to Northampton the whole board should be sacked

Huge blow for Munster if JJ Hanrahan packs his bags for East Midlands. A prodigiously talented young man - does need to play more, though.

@BHHooker Only so many characters and talked about JJ Han ad nauseam already. Wasps possibly going after the wrong Irish-based fly-half.
