The general reaction to JJ Hanrahan's departure from Munster has been one of anger. Munster fans are devastated that one of the most talented players that Munster have ever produced will be leaving the province before Munster get the best use out of him.
The anger is directed towards Munster, and their failure to retain Hanrahan's services, and most people seem to realise that Munster are losing a great talent, while Northampton will be in a good place to make the most out of Hanrahan's talents.
@Munsterrugby How could you let that happen? @JjHanrahan @SaintsRugby

Munster have confirmed that JJ Hanrahan will be leaving to join Northampton at the end of the season. Quite the fly-half one-two punch at FG

JJ Hanrahan's move to Northampton confirmed. He'll leave at the end of the season. Munster could hugely regret that decision.

a Munster nation gently weeps
MT @Munsterrugby: JJ Hanrahan will leave Munster for Northampton Saints at end of season— Andy McGeady (@andymcgeady) January 7, 2015
Can see JJ going on to win big in Northampton. Munster will rue the day they let him slip through the net

@Munsterrugby @JjHanrahan @SaintsRugby what a joke....One of the best young players in the country and u let him go! Really cant afford that
— Eamon O Keeffe (@eamonok) January 7, 2015
Really, JJ leaving is simply remarkable. Munster have been crying out for a passing centre for 100 years: they get one, and don't play him.

Hanrahan leaving is fairly unprecedented. Have to admire the cojones to strike out like that #Munster #JJ
