France were absolutely shocking in defeat to Wales on Friday night. They really gave a masterclass in butchering try scoring opportunities.
The performance was so bad that former England international Jeremy Guscott has compared Philippe Saint-Andre's side to "watching clowns at the circus".
From BBC:
The French national side used to have a DNA; a definite, exciting way of playing.
But this has been coached out of them over the last decade. I've no idea why. Whatever the reason, watching France at the moment is like watching clowns at the circus.
There's actually a clown shortage going on in the US at the moment, so if rugby doesn't work out for some of the French players then they've always got that.
Though the prospect of a Louis Picamoles-sized clown really scares the shit out of me.
