Any of you conspiracy theorists out there can rest at ease regarding the 'Jamie Heaslip faked an injury' rumours that were flying about after the Ireland v England match. Journalist Paul Kimmage had implied that there was something fishy about Heaslip's late withdrawal from the Ireland side and subsequent replacement by Peter O'Mahony. But on Friday, Leinster Rugby tweeted that Heaslip had had a "minor procedure on his lower back" in the morning.

Now, Heaslip himself has, through Snapchat (via iRadio's Twitter), given us visual evidence (as if there was ever any doubt) that indeed he was on a hospital bed receiving an operation (unless, of course, Heaslip's photo is itself just an extension of some elaborate Machiavellian plan by Joe Schmidt.
