While they may have created more try-scoring opportunities over the course of the game, very few rugby fans would argue that Leinster deserved to win the Champions Cup final against Toulouse.

They made a mess of most of those scoring chances, lacking any sort of conviction in their attack inside the opposition 22-metre line. Toulouse defended brilliantly throughout, going on to take the opportunities that were presented to them at the other end of the pitch.

The French club's defence was outstanding, with Jack Willis one of the standout performers in that area. The Englishman made a scarcely believable 41 tackles over the course of the game, and were it not for the superhuman performance of Antoine Dupont, he likely would have been named man-of-the-match.

However, it seems as though Willis was lucky to remain on the pitch after a questionable tackle on a Leinster player inside the first two minutes of the game.

Leinster were not at their best on Saturday, but you would have fancied them to win the game had they played against 14 men for 78 minutes or so of the contest.

That could have been the case had the officials not missed what looks like clear dangerous tackle from Jack Willis inside the first couple of minutes of the contest.

In the incident, you can see the England international make clear contact with the head of Caelan Doris after a misjudged tackle.

You can watch footage of the tackle below.

This an was incredibly similar tackle to the one that saw Toulouse player Richie Arnold sent off in extra-time.

On this occasion, the challenge was missed by the referee and was not then flagged by the TMO. As a result, it went completely unpunished.

While Leinster can have no complaints about the result of this fixture, it certainly could have been a very different rugby game had a red card been handed out at this stage of the match.
