According to a blog post by Brendan Fanning, Connaught Head Coach Eric Elwood will be stepping down from his role at the end of the season. Elwood, who took over from Michael Bradley in 2010 is coming to the end of a three year contract and indicates that rugby has consumed his life and he now needs to take time away from the sport.
He will be leaving Connaught Rugby in the best position that it has ever been in, following qualification for the Heineken Cup for the first time last season and their continuing participation this year.
