Italy U20s have been steadily improving over the past four to five years, securing their most impressive result to date with a victory over England in last year's U20s Six Nations.
On Friday evening they nearly matched that win in their 27-28 loss to France, cruelly missing a last conversion for the win.
Nonetheless, it was a performance to be immensely proud of, and this pride and passion was shown it all its glory by captain and MOTM David Odiase in an emotional and fiery post-match interview.
I'm happy for my own personal result, but at the same time, I'm still happy for how my team (played) and the Italian movement is doing very well.
I'm very proud of my lads, they are doing very good. Apart from the result, I'm very proud we are sending a big message to the world of rugby that we are coming for all of you people.
We have been walking out, eating s**t a lot for the past years and now the results have started coming, it's just the beginning of a long process.

"One day we can compete with all the international teams, I'm very proud of my guys, proud of the result," continued Odiase. "A very hard game, very hard guys, but at the end, who wins is the best. I'm really proud of being part of all this, being proud of the national team. I'm very happy apart from the result.
"We just keep going, we have another match, we have autumn matches, we have the World Cup coming. We are still hard, apart from this one, when you take a knock, you're ready, you get up and you move forward, you keep moving forward. Thank you so much."
