Unless you've been living under a rock then you will no doubt be aware that England have been knocked out of the World Cup. So now that they've nothing to get behind, a lot of their fans are wondering where the hell they should their hopes now.
Should they go back to watching football? Should they drown their sorrows for a month and lament about what might have been? Actually, it seems a lot of them are deciding to get behind Ireland.
This Buzzfeed staff writer seemed to perfectly sum up the emotional journey many England went on last night.
We'll do this. Come on England.

I'm 1/8 Irish, that's enough right?

Of course he wasn't the only. I suppose it should come as no surprise given that many people boast Irish heritage. I wonder who Jack Grealish is supporting now?
Still though, I'm not sure how I feel about all this.
Come on Ireland. #RWC2015

Meanwhile in The Telegraph, their journalist Luke Brown argues that they should support Ireland now because Ireland's Call is such a bloody good song:
Ireland’s Call” is a synths hook and sweaty beat away from being an absolute club banger. Without a doubt the catchiest rugby match song in existence (solid effort: ‘Flower of Scotland’), every English supporter is now presented with an entirely legitimate opportunity to happily belt out the tune before every Ireland game, without feeling all treacherous and deceitful afterward. It would be a crime to pass up on such a chance.
I'm sure we'd all do the same if the shoe was the other foot?? #winkyface #nudgenudge #winkwink
