Bad news folks, Clive Woodward is not going to be the next coach of France. As fun as it would have been, it's just not going to happen. The former England coach surprisingly threw his hat into the ring in the past couple of weeks and it seemed the French federation were giving it serious thought.
However, news has broken this morning in Midi Olympique that France have decided to go in a different direction.
Long time Toulouse coach, Guy Noves, has reportedly been given the nod ahead of the likes of Raphael Ibanez and Fabian Galthie following a meeting of the French rugby federation on Tuesday.
If indeed it is the case, Noves will take over from Philippe Saint-Andre following the end of the World Cup later this year.
