Perhaps the most heartening aspect of the Grand Slam-winning campaign was the fact that it was achieved with 30 different players, showing that Ireland now possess a hitherto unimaginable strength in depth.

Such is the strength of the Irish reserves, we have brought back our depth chart to reflect it. Below is the Irish team as we see it when everyone is fully fit, with the next-choice replacement listed below. We have repeated a couple of names owing to that player's versatility, and regarding the wingers and in the second row (relatively interchangeable positions) we've elected to name each player just once.
