Now with a victory under their belt in the 2025 Six Nations U20s Championship, the Ireland U20s will want to keep their momentum going as they head to Rodney Parade to battle Wales in round three.
Charlie Molony was the star man for Ireland's last outing as they beat Scotland 33-15. His hat-trick was a catalyst in not only securing a big win but also gaining Ireland a bonus point which could go a long way in the standings.
Wales scraped past Italy in a thriller of a second round game that ended 18-20 and had shocks from start to finish. It was a much needed win after their thumping against France in their opening fixture.
As it stands, Ireland's bonus point is what keeps them ahead of Wales in the table as the two teams stand at near-level footing going into this game.

Wales also released their team on Wednesday afternoon. Manager Richard Whiffin made four changes after their away win against Italy, and was mainly positive as he talked about how he and his players were preparing.
The boys did a decent job out in Italy and we were happy with certain aspects of our play against France as well so we’re given the majority of the squad an opportunity to get a home game under their belts at Rodney Parade.
We’re also trying to keep combinations and connections high for the reminder of the tournament.
I think the boys put everything into the two opening games and we played some really good stuff in patches, and I was really pleased for the boys to get over the line against Italy.
