The Ireland U-20s took on the Baby Blacks in the final game of their group at the Junior World Championships yesterday evening.
Ireland started the game well, keeping it close in the early stages and went in at half time only 14-11 down.
The Kiwis came out strong in the second half scoring three tries without response to go up 31-11. Ireland didn't give in though and gave a valiant effort to get the game back to 31-26, giving themselves a shout of going through. It wasn't to be though, Ireland failed to qualify for the semi-finals, always a tough task when you are drawn in the same group as the New Zealanders who have won this competition four out the the five times it has been held.
