Johnny Sexton has recovered from the calf injury which kept him out of Ireland's opening two games of the Six Nations.
Sexton replaces Paddy Jackson in the starting line-up to play France on Saturday evening. Jackson takes a place on the bench.
There are two other changes from the team which beat Italy convincingly in Rome.
Jack McGrath returns at loosehead prop in place on Cian Healy, who is on the bench. Rory Best is back from injury to replace Niall Scannell at hooker. The Munster man, who made his international debut against Italy, is among the replacements.
