Form Guide
Dan McFarland's side cruised past Munster in the quarterfinal, winning 36-17 at the Kingspan Stadium. Tries from John Cooney, Nick Timoney, James Hume and two from Stewart Moore sealed the vital win for Ulster.
The last time the sides met was back in March with the South African outfit narrowly beating Ulster 23-20.
Speaking to the Irish Times, Dan McFarland is optimistic ahead of the semifinal.
By definition, going from a quarter to a semi, the semi should be a harder game. We managed to back up games during the Champions Cup.
I’ve never seen backing up games as an issue for us. Each game is what it is. I suppose the only thing for us is the physical side. How many injuries do you have after a game that was really physical? Mentally it’s not a problem for us.
It’s a semi-final. Who wants to lose a semi-final?
Stormers beat Edinburgh 28-17 in the quarterfinal and finished second in the overall standings during the league campaign and with only four defeats in their 19 games so far, no side has lost less game than the Stormers.
Stormers are on a nine game winning streak dating back to February with their last defeat coming against Connacht at the Sportsground.
It should be an intriguing clash.
