Munster had a successful game last time out after returning from South Africa as they handily put Benetton to the side, winning 51-22 in Musgrave Park. Having lost both of their matches under tough circumstances in South Africa, it was a much needed and important victory.

This match could see the return of the players who were involved in the Irish camp during the Six Nations like Andrew Conway, Peter O'Mahony and Joey Carbery just to name a few. They have their Champions Cup Round of 16 first leg tie against Exeter Chiefs next week so they might choose to rest players as well. This week also saw the announcement that Damian de Allende would be leaving the province at the end of the season to join a team from outside Europe.

Only four Irish international return to the Munster lineup as Joey Carbery and Conor Murray start in the half-backs and Peter O'Mahony captains the side yet again. Keith Earls also return to the side, starting on the bench. Tadhg Beirne has missed out on the matchday squad completely.

Leinster also had a winning return to form last week as they beat Connacht 45-8 in Galway after an early red card fro Connacht proved costly. The only team news for the Boys in Blue this week is that Dave Kearney is set to be out for a number of months with a hamstring injury.

Eleven of the Ireland squad who were involved in the Six Nations return for this match with centre Garry Ringrose captaining the side with Hugo Keenan, Robbie Henshaw, James Lowe and Jamison Gibson-park starting. The formidable back row of Doris, van der Flier and Conan also start with Dan Sheehan, Cian Healy and Tadhg Furlong on the bench.
