First hosts second on Saturday after both sides were successful in Round 1. Ireland dominated from start to finish against Wales to win 29-7 while France survived an early scare against Italy to win 37-10. Ireland and France looked very strong and dominate while not really firing on all cylinders.

This match is also the battle of the two sides that beat the All Blacks last November. Ireland of course looked phenomenal in their 29-20 win in the Aviva Stadium and the following week France trounced the All Blacks 40-25 in Paris so both sides are on a rich vein of form.

As we all know Ireland traditionally don't have a great record in Paris. Since 2000, they've only won in the French capital three times and had one draw in there as well. The last time Ireland won in Paris was in 2018 when Johnny sexton hit a last second drop kick after Ireland went through over 40 phases, starting in their own 22.

However Sexton will be out for this pivotal match as the Ireland captain sustained a hamstring strain in training during the week. This has meant that Joey Carbery jumps in to start at 10 while Jack Carty goes on the bench. Robbie Henshaw and Iain Henderson return from injury to start on the bench.

The French only make two changes from the side that smashed Italy 37-10 as Francois Cros comes in to start at flanker while Yoram Moefana replaces Jonathan Danty at inside centre. Fabien Galthié has gone for six forwards on the bench with only two backs in as cover.
