Ireland trained at Hurling Club in Buenos Aires yesterday as they began their two-Test tour of Argentina. The club was founded by Irish immigrants in 1922 and hosted hurling events until World War II hindered the importation of ash for hurleys. Today, the club is a centre of hockey, rugby and tennis but the GAA section has been revived in recent years. In 2009, that year's All Stars played their 2008 counterparts at the club.
Last September, we reported on Hurling's tour to Galway.
