A typically unenlightening but tetchy discussion between Vincent Browne and George Hook on rugby on The Right Hook today. This confrontation was inevitable since Browne penned his missive against rugby in the today's Irish Times, in which he referred to the sport's "dysfunctional" and "dangerous" culture.
They have locked horns on rugby before on Browne's short-lived, 'light-hearted' Friday night show (the format that accommodated Jedward) where Browne dubbed rugby a "boring bloody game" and said that "soccer is such a fantastic game compared with rugby" (just to rile Hook we think, Browne is believed to be a rugby fan in spite of it all).
