George Hook is never one to hold his tongue when it comes to the Irish Rugby team and the IRFU.
So, when the news broke that former England and Lions coach Andy Farrell will work with the Irish camp until after the 2019 World Cup in Japan, the broadcaster couldn't help but indulge himself.
Farrell will take over from Les Kiss in a move which has been both praised, most notably from Brian O'Driscoll, and criticised in equal measure.
So Andy Farrell new @IrishRugby defence coach! Decent business that. Very good coach and motivator. Expect line speed & great kick chase.

Hook, however, wasn't quite as impressed. In his latest piece for the Irish Independent he explains that the appointment is quite the coup it seems.
Happily, son Owen is not coming with him but his inability to recognise talent and evoke strong morale were obvious during the Rugby World Cup, when it was an open secret that many squad members were unhappy with his involvement in selection.
The broadcaster voiced his concern via Twitter already, but went one step further by explaining that the appointment has been handed to someone who has no "intrinsic connection" to the nation.
The biggest concern about this appointment is that once again we have handed the game over to foreign coaches that have no intrinsic connection to Ireland other than a monthly pay cheque.
It is 40 years since George Spotswood was appointed the IRFU's first director of rugby and we still do not have an established coterie of Irish coaches other than a couple of rookies at the helm of two of the provinces.
Farrell will not be part of Ireland's preparation or camp for the defence of their Six Nations crown, so we are forced to wait to see how effective his appointment will be.
