England have pulled off the biggest result of the World Cup, dumping two time defending champions New Zealand out of the tournament. It was a stunning performance from Eddie Jones' side, who flew out of the traps early on and never really looked back.
They forced the All Blacks into an incredible amount of uncharacteristic mistakes and it never looked like they were going to let their lead slip.
They will now head into their fourth World Cup final next weekend, where they will be favourites. Wales and South Africa face off tomorrow to determine who their opponents will be.
While the prestige of playing in the biggest game in the sport was a big enough prize, England's players have also been handed a handsome financial reward after their win today.
The New Zealand Herald are reporting that the England squad have earned a £1.28 million bonus for reaching the World Cup final, which works out at £41,298 for each player. It is believed to be the biggest bonus in the history of the sport for winning a test match.
In comparison, it is reported that New Zealand would have earned only £17,000 per player had they won today's game.
As if England needed any more motivation heading into next weekend's final, their bonus will be doubled to £2,560,500 (£82,597 each) should they win the tournament.
Grand money if you can get it.
