What an incredible day it is for Exeter Chiefs as produced another huge performance to defeat Wasps and claim the Aviva Premiership final at Twickenham.
Having dumped European Champions Saracens out of the running with a late score last week, the final would not be any easier on the supporters' nerves as the match was taken to extra time following a 20-20 score after 80 minutes.
Dungannon man Gareth Steenson had to kick a last gasp penalty to take it to extra time, and he was again tasked with making an otherwise routine kick under enormous pressure in the 98th minute, knowing that if he made it, it would surely be enough to get them over the line.
And he nailed it. You could see a big smile creeping across his face as he jogged back to the half-way line.
That would have meant more to Steenson than anyone, as he has been a part of the club's incredible journey since 2008.
He expressed how his week has been a nightmare due to nerves during his post match interview on BT Sport as it hit home what he and the club have achieved.
Having lost the final last season to the side they eliminated in the semis this year, it would have been absolutely massive for everyone involved at the club to put that behind them and claim the crown this time around.
Congratulations to Exeter Chiefs, and of course to Gareth Steenson.
