Munster have confirmed the signing of promising young Connacht wing Diarmuid Kilgallen, who will arrive at Thomond Park this summer.
The departure of RG Snyman to Leinster is undoubtedly the biggest news of an interprovincial move to break in recent months, but Munster have now pulled off a coup of their own.
Kilgallen, still only 23, will sign on a two-year deal with Munster this summer, and his stats suggest he will be a brilliant addition to their roster of attacking talent.

Munster poach promising Connacht wing Diarmuid Kilgallen
Kildare native Kilgallen made his senior debut for Connacht against Munster in 2020 and has displayed an impressive knack for try-scoring during his limited first-team opportunities out west thus far.
The Connacht wing sits among the top ten try scorers in this season's URC with five in six appearances. That also places him as the third highest-try-scoring Irishman in the league, with only Tom Stewart and Jacob Stockdale ahead of the Connacht star.
Still only 23 years old, Kilgallen is an exciting prospect for the future, and Munster have done well to poach the youngster from their interprovincial rivals.
The announcement of Kilgallen's signing was paired with confirmation from Munster that hooker Eoghan Clarke has signed a one-year contract for next season.
Clarke had previously lined out for the Jersey Reds since 2021 but, when the club went into liquidation last October, he returned to his home province, and has impressed in his five appearances this season.
South African prop Keynan Knox will depart Munster at the end of the current season, seven years after signing with the province's academy.
