Leicester and Toulon's round three Champions Cup game on December 7th has turned out to be an expensive one for the French club in terms of suspensions.

Their English fullback Delon Armitage has been suspended for 12 weeks after he allegedly threatened to "take the face" off a Leicester supporter following the game.

According to The Guardian, the incident occurred when Armitage walked into a club bar filled with fans rather than a function room designated for players. He was found guilty of misconduct despite being provoked.

There was also a complaint of misconduct made against the Toulon player for "making a number of comments to, or within earshot of, spectators using foul and abusive language". However, this charge was dismissed due to "inconsistencies in the evidence".

Italian prop Martin Castrogiovanni was suspended four games for calling Richard Cockerill a "cunt" during the post-match press conference.
