Look, we don't expect our sports blogging chums across the pond to get it right all of the time, and Lord knows we've pilfered a lifetime's worth of content from Deadspin in 15 months of blogging, but still, this is sort of relevant. Deadspin posted about the royal rumble at Saturday's Leicester - Northampton match this afternoon. For some odd reason, writer Jack Dickey felt impelled to add some context to the match result, including this pretty contentious paragraph. The European Cup is a consolation prize compared to the attritional warfare of the English Premiership? Don't think so. An innocent mistake, probably, but one worth pointing out.
[Edit - We were contacted by Deadspin, who informed us we got the byline wrong. It was Jack Dickey, not Brian Hickey. Always confusing our hickey's and our dickey's]
