Leinster had to contend with a floodlight failure in victory against Glasgow last night, but Munster have no such worries this evening, they are playing Treviso on a field bathed in evening sunlight.
Despite the favourable conditions, Munster have made heavy weather of the game early on, and it took until the 24th minute for the deadlock to be broken. Darren Sweetnam scored the try, although he was helped by a fabulous looped pass by Francis Saili.
It was a routine win for Rassie Erasmus' men, as Sweetnam grabbed his second try for what would be the second score of the game.
After fielding a poor clearance kick from the Treviso 10, the Munster winger scored a wonderful solo try after some tactical use of the knee.
First scorer and last scorer, a good Saturday evening for Darren Sweetnam.
14-34 the final score, and the win sees Munster hit 81 points for the season thus far, three behind leaders Leinster.
