Dan Carter and Ronan O'Gara enjoyed a blossoming bromance that culminated in Paris as their careers with Racing 92 overlapped. While O'Gara has moved onto pastures new, he has not forgotten his former test rugby foe and club-mate.
Carter turns 36 today, and O'Gara took time to share the birthday message he sent to the New Zealander.
Just the 4 years between us!!
Happy Birthday to the man who it went right for!! I look forward to the list of restaurants to visit in Paris when I return !!
Honor's list for here is class..

To which Carter issued a definite response.

Carter has endured a mixed season with Racing thus far as he has been struck down by several injuries and he's set to leave France at the end of the season. A man who will just be arriving at that point is Simon Zebo, who appreciated the response all the same.

O'Gara's Crusaders side face the Hurricanes on Saturday night, who have Beauden Barrett as their starting out-half. Interestingly, when speaking to radiosport today, O'Gara also touted Barrett as Carter's successor today and tipped him to become the best 10 in the world.
He's probably nearly redefined number 10 play. Dan was obviously and still is the best 10 in the world, overall for decades. But Beauden Barrett is very exciting and could potentially go on to challenge him for that title. So when you speak of him in that class, by God is he up there.
