As soon as the rugby world learned that Matt O'Connor was not going to continue as Leinster head coach, that majority of fans had one name that came to mind who they wanted to fill the Australian's position.

That name was former Leinster fullback and RTE pundit Conor O'Shea.

46% percent of balls readers wanted Conor O'Shea to be the next coach, but they'll have to settle for someone else.

Unfortunately for Leinster fans though, Conor O'Shea is ruling himself out of the race to succeed O'Connor. The Harlequins Director of Rugby had a contract with the London club until next summer and intends to honour that agreement.

Despite being installed as favourite by most bookies, O'Shea will stay loyal to Quins. He played a big part in the London club's ability to hold on to their key players in Chris Robshaw, Mike Brown and Joe Marler, and O'Shea felt like he would be letting them down if he broke his contract.

That leaves Robbie Deans as Paddy Power's 1/2 favourite, but here are nine other contenders for the job.
