With the opportunity to reduce a 20-10 deficit and make their tie against Ospreys a one-score game, Connacht were the apparent victim of an astoundingly poor call from the officials.
Tasked with a relatively straight-forward penalty, Connacht's Jack Carty perhaps let his kick slip a little further left than he would have wanted - but it appeared like job done nonetheless.
Not according to the officials.

Apoplectic with the decision, Carty can be seen signalling for the referee to consult his TMO for another look at the kick.
Such a check was not forthcoming.
Second Half Is Underway at the Liberty Stadium...Connacht have won a penalty....Jack Carty takes the penalty...That looks over the bar but the Touch Judges wave it WIDE!

In the end it scarcely matter; Connacht were resoundingly beaten 39-10.
