Munster travelled to Galway tonight to take on Connacht in the final round of inter-pro derbies and ahead of that game, TG4 demonstrated some ingenious pre-match coverage with on-field interviews and mic'd up coaches during the warm-up.
The Sportsground played host to tonight's Pro14 derby as Connacht looked to keep up their recent impressive form while Munster hoped to improve a poor away record.
Prior to the tie, Munster forwards coach Jerry Flannery conducted his pre-match preparation with a mic and gave viewers a fascinating insight into the pre-game conversation. At one point, he suggests Keith Earls practice fielding ball as the lights are not actually that bright.

Tonight my first time in ages watching the rugbaí on TG4. Class build-up — not sure how long they’ve been doing it but quality idea to mic up a coach during warm-ups. Nice little piece of insight.
