The trend has generally been one way in recent years. Up and coming Irish player does well in Connacht, moves on to Leinster (or elsewhere) to continue his development. A tried and tested method but a tiring one for Connacht fans. This year Mick Kearney became the latest to make the move.
The 24 year old back row will make the move to Leinster ahead of next season but Connacht won't be caught short. It has been confirmed that 24 year old back row Ben Marshall will make the move in the opposite direction.

Marshall may not be first choice with Leinster but he will certainly be a welcome addition to Pat Lam's squad given his undoubted potential. Injuries may have halted his development somewhat but the fact that he is in the Ireland to face the Barbarians tomorrow shows just how highly he is thought of in Irish rugby circles.
Pat Lam has spoken about what Marshall will bring to the squad.
It’s great to have someone with Ben’s versatility joining our squad next season. He is a young player whose talent has already been recognised internationally as highlighted by his inclusion in the Ireland squad for this week’s game against the Barbarians and also the Emerging Ireland squad.
I have no doubt that he will fit in well within our culture and make the most of the opportunity to continue his growth and compete for a starting spot up front.
Marshall has said that he regrets the injuries that have halted his development with Leinster but is looking forward to kickstarting his career in the Sportsground.
