CJ Stander made his 100th appearance for Munster on Saturday afternoon and his importance to the side was portrayed midway through the first half when the number eight was given the task to throw into the Munster lineout.
Munster hooker Niall Scannell was sent to the sin bin by Welsh referee Ben Whitehouse for a deliberate knock-on in midfield.
So with Scannell off the pitch, Stander was called upon to give Munster a set piece platform needed to penetrate a determined Leinster defence.
Although it was not the prettiest, it was effective as the back row threw to the front of the line.
