Cian Healy is in danger of missing the interprovincial derbies over Christmas having been cited for the reckless use of a forearm against Exeter Chiefs at the Aviva last weekend. The European Professional Club Rugby (EPCR) alleges that Healy “charged into a ruck and to have struck the head of the Exeter Chiefs hooker, Luke Cowan-Dickie, with his forearm in the 17th minute of the match in contravention of Law 10.4".
Healy was sin-binned at the time by referee Pascal Gauzère, with the consensus at the time that he was fortunate to escape a red card. The incident is below.

The lower end of the suspension is two weeks, which is the most likely category into which this Healy incident will fall. Separately, Healy was on the receiving end of a similar incident for which Mitch Lees has been cited, accused of charging into a ruck and striking Healy in the 40th minute.
Elsewhere, Manu Tuliagi is in bother too: he has been cited for this hit on Munster's Chris Cloete.
