Connacht still need to seal their place, but should all go according to plan for the Irish provinces in the Champions Cup quarter-finals, Croke Park has every chance of hosting any potential all-Irish clash in the semis.
The EPCR are considering Croke Park as a venue should any two of Leinster, Munster and Connacht wind up facing each other in the Champions Cup last four, and the smalltime Irishness in us couldn't help but be smitten at their comments on GAA Headquarters.
In the Irish Daily Mail, EPCR chairman Simon Halliday said of the prospect:
It is very interesting and I certainly think that we should go for the best possible solution.
If you have an all-Irish semi-final and we knew there was demand for the type of crowd that would fill Croke Park, why wouldn't we?
I must tell you I haven't investigated it yet, but it certainly is an amazing place. If we could I think it would be a wonderful thing.
N'gaww. Thanks, Simon.
Croker last played host to a European club rugby match in 2009, when Leinster battered Munster to reach their first Heineken Cup final and gain revenge for their similar hammering at Landsdowne Road three years previous.
The fixture produced some of the most spectacular scenes ever witnessed at the 82,000-capacity ground, with pockets of red and blue interspersed throughout creating a thunderous atmosphere.
Munster fans unapologetically took The Hill, while the minority Leinster supporters brandished Clare and Tipperary flags to match their own province's colours.
You may also remember this as the fixture when Johnny Sexton did, well, this, to Ronan O'Gara.
Croke Park can seat over 30,000 more fans than the Aviva Stadium, and as such would be viewed by many as a more suitable venue for a game which could probably sell it out three times over.
