Out of all of the players who have starred for the Irish rugby team over the last couple of seasons, you could argue that none of them have been more impressive than Bundee Aki.
The Connacht centre has been a mainstay in the side for a number of years now, first coming into the fold back in 2017. While he has always been a consistent performer, he has taken his game to the next level over the last 12 months or so.
His showing at last autumn's World Cup were particularly impressive, as was his display in the win over France earlier this month. Ireland may have no shortage of competition in those centre spots, but Aki is deservedly a nailed on starter right now.

Rugby: Bundee Aki gets emotional discussing Ireland relationship
It's difficult to imagine now, but it was somewhat controversial when Bundee Aki was first brought into the Ireland setup. Some former test internationals felt that his inclusion summed up the issues relating to the residency rule and was potentially blocking the route for homegrown talent.
However, he has since become one of the most beloved players to pull on a green jersey.
Anyone who watches Bundee Aki play for Ireland can see what it means to him, with the 33-year old leaving everything out there whenever he takes to the pitch. He certainly does not act like a person who has no connection to the country, as some people claimed would be the case.
Speaking to ITV ahead of this weekend's game against Wales, Aki got emotional when discussing what it meant to him to represent Ireland.

Interviewer: What word best sums up your relationship with Ireland?
Aki: I would say 'love'. I love playing for Ireland, I love the people in Ireland. They've given nothing but love. I can only show it back with the way I play and the way I represent the country.
Interviewer: It means a lot?
Aki: It does mean a lot, it means a lot.
What a man.
Bundee Aki will be hoping that he continue his recent run of phenomenal form when the Irish rugby team face Wales tomorrow afternoon, with a win moving them one step close to a second consecutive Six Nations Grand Slam.
