BT have been asking parents up and down Britain what they sing to get their kids to sleep. We're not sure why either but that's secondary because there's a very surprising winner atop the 'sporting lullaby' chart.
You'll Never Walk Alone comes third, Swing Low Sweet Chariot comes second and topping the poll is none other than Ireland's Call.
The telecoms company surveyed 2000 parents in February of this year to see what they sing to their nippers to send them off to sleep. Granted, that sample is not exactly huge but nonetheless it is quite humorous that Ireland's Call would top this poll, given that it is not exactly universally loved in Ireland.
However, we do have our reservations about the kind of people who were asked when you consider that Ice Ice Baby came third in the Chart Hits category.
