Michael Lowry had a dream debut for Ireland against Italy in the Six Nations on Sunday. The fullback touched down for two tries, and set up a third for James Lowe, as Ireland scored nine tries and won 57-6.
Lowry could easily have gone for the hat-trick score rather than pass off to Lowe on his outside.
"Talk about endearing yourself to your teammates! You score a couple and then you pass up a hat-trick on your debut. It's quite something," former Ireland captain Brian O'Driscoll told ITV about Lowry.
Brian O'Driscoll on Michael Lowry
"Those back threes are all about combinations. James Lowe will be a good friend of his.
"We've heard so much talked about Marcus Smith - he's of that ilk. He's that sort of player that you know when he has it - with that crazy footwork, with the ability to beat players one-on-one - he creates a buzz, atmosphere, environment that you want to be watching.
"He gets people off their seats. The more of those players that you have in the team, the more x factor that you have, the more chances you have to create try scoring opportunities. He took two today and created one."

Another former Ireland captain, Rory Best, said he believes much of Lowry's play is "execptional".
"Rugby should be for all people," said Best.
"The way he uses his footwork, we've seen him do it time and time again with Ulster. He's deceptively strong. A lot of what he does is exceptional. You can see the energy and excitement that he has."
