While Ireland spoiled the Grand Slam party for England at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday, England did still scoop the tournament championship and were presented with the trophy after their 13-9 loss to Joe Schmidt's men.

And that's cause for celebration. While you could see many of the English players not knowing how to feel or look in the moments after the final whistle, where they had to get over their loss and accept that they should be happy to have won the tournament, they soon got into the swing of things and began enjoying themselves.

This enjoyment resulted in the squad arriving to the Russel Court Hotel just shy of 1am, fashionably late like the vast majority of Maro Itoje's hits, and as always there are some that enjoy themselves a little bit more than others.

The Daily Mail, as reported by the Irish Mirror, spotted Billy Vunipola being carried out of Dicey's at around 4.30am.

Know the one that's one too many.

The Daily Mail also interviewed an onlooker who gave his account of events:

Vunipola was squinting at one point - as though he couldn’t bear to open his eyes properly. Then another member of the team party came over and touched has forehead, as though he was checking the player’s temperature.

It must have been a heavy night out but they all deserved to let off a bit of steam after such a gruelling game and series.

What a strange thing to say in an impromptu newspaper interview at 5am on Harcourt Street.
